Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Interior Designer located in Jakarta, Indonesia. The Interior Designer will be responsible for creating functional and aesthetically exceptional interior environments, with a specialized focus on commercial and corporate spaces. This includes managing space planning, developing detailed construction drawings, and selecting appropriate finishes, furnishings, and equipment (FF&E). The designer will collaborate closely with architecture and audio-visual specialists to deliver integrated, technology-enhanced environments that meet the highest standards of design and functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop innovative and practical interior design concepts for corporate and commercial environments, including but not limited to:
- Office spaces (open-plan, private offices, collaborative zones)
- Meeting and conference rooms
- Auditoriums and presentation spaces
- Command centers and control rooms
- Create detailed space plans, 3D visualizations, and construction documentation.
- Select and specify FF&E that align with project requirements, brand identity, and budget.
- Collaborate with audio-visual engineers and technology teams to integrate AV systems seamlessly into interior designs.
- Ensure designs comply with local building codes, industry standards, and client sustainability goals.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to timelines and budgets.
- Conduct site visits and coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure design intent is executed accurately.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in interior design, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in commercial and corporate projects.
- Advanced proficiency in space planning and architectural integration, particularly for technology-heavy environments like command centers, auditoriums, and conference rooms.
- Expertise in developing detailed construction drawings and technical documentation.
- Demonstrated experience in FF&E selection, specification, and procurement for large-scale commercial projects.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage projects within strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Prior experience in the audio-visual industry or designing integrated AV environments is a significant advantage.
- Knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards, and sustainability principles relevant to commercial interiors in Indonesia.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification (e.g., CIDA, IIDA, or equivalent).
- Experience working on international or large-scale corporate projects.
- Familiarity with acoustic design, lighting design, and ergonomic principles for specialized spaces like auditoriums and command centers.
- Ability to create immersive visualizations (e.g., VR walkthroughs) for client presentations.
