We are expanding our architecture & design division and are looking for an experienced Interior Designer to help shape the future of Karma properties.
Role Description
As an Interior Designer, you will lead and support project stages from concept through execution. Your role includes:
- Developing design concepts, space planning, and material narratives.
- Preparing detailed drawingsjoinery, furniture, lighting layouts, and finishes.
- Producing FF&E specifications aligned with procurement.
- Creating CGI renderings and presentation decks.
- Coordinating with project managers, consultants, vendors, and site teams.
- Reviewing shop drawings, material submissions, prototypes, and mock-ups.
- Conducting site inspections to ensure design quality and compliance.
- Supporting refurbishment projects within operating resort environments.
- Maintaining documentation consistency within Company's standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Interior Design or Architecture
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience, including at least 4 years in hospitality/interior - hotels, resorts, luxury residential, or branded spaces.
- Strong portfolio showcasing guest rooms/villas, F&B venues, spas, and public areas.
- Solid FF&E understanding - detailing, curation, and execution.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign), Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, and rendering capability required (CGI) using Enscape, V-Ray, or Lumion.
- Strong understanding of joinery detailing, lighting coordination, and FF&E specifications.
- Knowledge of BOQ preparation, FF&E schedule, and mock-up review process.
- Familiarity with Indonesian suppliers, fabrication, and construction feasibility.
- Ability to coordinate across project stakeholders.
- Knowledge of BOQ preparation, FF&E schedule development, and mock-up approval.
- Comfortable working under tight design & construction timelines.
- Experience in renovation or operational hotel environments is a plus.
