Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our team, focusing on supporting our on-premise and private cloud (single-tenant) customers. This role involves handling tasks of medium to low complexity, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both cloud and on-premise environments, with expertise in key technologies such as Kubernetes, containerization, Terraform, Ansible, Linux, and customer troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
On-Premise Infrastructure Maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance on virtual servers, operating systems, storage, networks, and other infrastructure hardware that supports Mekari Officeless.
- Implement patching and updates of operating systems, applications, and firmware according to schedules and security best practices.
- Manage and maintain backup and restore systems to ensure data recovery in the event of failure.
- Conduct basic capacity planning to anticipate future infrastructure resource needs.
- Create and maintain documentation related to infrastructure configuration, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting.
Monitoring and Troubleshooting
- Monitor the performance and availability of on-premise infrastructure using available monitoring tools.
- Analyze system logs and performance metrics to identify potential problems or anomalies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues effectively and efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with other teams (e.g., application teams, support teams) in resolving issues involving infrastructure.
- Create incident reports and root cause analysis (RCA) for significant infrastructure issues.
Implementing Changes and Configuration
- Implement infrastructure configuration changes according to approved change requests.
- Follow change management procedures to ensure changes are made in a safe and controlled manner.
- Install and configure new infrastructure software as needed.
- Perform testing after implementing changes to ensure system stability and performance.
On-Premise Infrastructure Security
- Implement and comply with corporate infrastructure security policies and procedures.
- Perform basic security configuration on servers, networks, and other hardware.
- Ensuring access to on-premise infrastructure is properly managed.
Collaboration and Communication
- Communicate effectively with other teams and stakeholders regarding infrastructure status, issues, and scheduled maintenance.
- Provide infrastructure related technical support to internal teams as needed.
Required Skills And Experience
- Bachelor's degree (S1) in Computer Science, Information Engineering, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering (with a focus on networks/computers), or related field.
- Minimum 1 years of experience as an Infra Engineer or related position, with experience in on-premise infrastructure maintenance.
- Good understanding of on-premise infrastructure concepts and technologies, including:
- Basic understanding of infrastructure security concepts.
- Good troubleshooting and problem analysis skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Effective technical communication skills.
- Willing to work outside regular business hours if required for maintenance or critical incident handling.
- Infrastructure related certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Network+, VMware VCP, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate if hybrid integration is in place). Is plus
