HR Manager (Operations)

Location: Jakarta, Indonesia

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced HR Manager (Operations) to manage end-to-end HR operational activities. This role is hands-on and focuses on day-to-day HR operations, employee relations, compliance, payroll oversight, and compensation & benefits.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations

  • Manage day-to-day HR operational and administrative activities.
  • Ensure smooth execution of HR processes, policies, and procedures.

Employee & Industrial Relations (ER / IR)

  • Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and terminations.
  • Manage employee relations issues and support IR matters when required.
  • Advise management on HR policies and employment matters.

Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian labour laws and statutory requirements.
  • Support internal and external HR audits.
  • Maintain accurate HR documentation and records.

Payroll Management

  • Oversee payroll operations (currently outsourced).
  • Coordinate with payroll vendors to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
  • Review payroll reports, statutory submissions, and resolve discrepancies.

Compensation & Benefits (C&B)

  • Manage compensation and benefits processes.
  • Conduct job evaluation and salary benchmarking exercises.
  • Support annual bonus, salary review, and benefits administration.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HR Operations / HR Generalist / HR Manager role.
  • Strong hands-on experience in ER, IR, compliance, and HR operations.
  • Solid understanding of Indonesian employment and labour laws.
  • Experience managing outsourced payroll.
  • Exposure to C&B, job evaluation, and salary benchmarking.
  • Good command of spoken and written English.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
