Job Description

As part of House of Om, the Housekeeping Supervisor plays a key role in creating a serene, welcoming, and hygienic environment for our guests and community. The role ensures that all rooms, common areas, and facilities reflect the values of cleanliness, mindfulness, and care that define House of Om.

Responsibilities :

1. Supervision & Team Guidance

  • Lead, train, and motivate the housekeeping team to maintain a warm, professional, and service-oriented attitude.
  • Assign daily cleaning tasks and ensure work is carried out to House of Oms hospitality standards.
  • Provide feedback, guidance, and coaching to develop the team.

2. Quality & Guest Experience

  • Oversee the cleanliness of guest rooms, yoga halls, dining areas, and outdoor spaces.
  • Ensure the environment reflects the essence of wellness, calmness, and mindfulness.
  • Respond to guest requests or feedback regarding housekeeping promptly and graciously.

3. Coordination & Operations

  • Collaborate with Front Office, Kitchen, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth guest experiences.
  • Prepare duty rosters and manage daily shift schedules.
  • Supervise laundry services, linen care, and supply readiness for retreats and events.

4. Supplies & Inventory

  • Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies, amenities, and linens.
  • Place orders and ensure proper usage and storage of eco-friendly cleaning materials aligned with House of Oms sustainability practices.

5. Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all health, hygiene, and safety standards are strictly followed.
  • Train staff on safe cleaning methods and emergency procedures.

6. Reporting & Administration

  • Maintain housekeeping records (attendance, shift logs, supply usage).
  • Report directly to the Operations Manager on team performance and housekeeping needs.

  • Requirements:

    • Previous experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role in hospitality.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
    • Attention to detail with a passion for maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and retreat schedules.
    • Familiarity with eco-friendly cleaning products and sustainable housekeeping practices is a plus.
    • Hospitality diploma/degree preferred.
