About the Role
We are looking for an experienced HVAC & MEP Manager to lead our field maintenance team responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of our managed properties. This role oversees HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) operations, ensuring all building systems are safe, reliable, and operating efficiently.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who enjoys spending time on-site, coaching technicians, solving technical issues, and continuously improving maintenance processes, service quality, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the HVAC and MEP maintenance team across multiple properties.
- Ensure timely completion of preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Monitor service quality, response time, and maintenance productivity.
- Provide technical guidance and support for complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Ensure minimum disruption to residents and property operations.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Manage and monitor HVAC & MEP contractors/vendors, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Manage, coach, and develop field technicians and supervisors.
- Plan technician deployment, shift schedules, and manpower allocation.
- Act as the escalation point for complex HVAC and MEP issues.
- Perform root cause analysis on repeated failures.
- Recommend permanent corrective actions instead of temporary fixes
- Analyze maintenance trends and identify improvement opportunities.
- Implement SOPs and standardized maintenance practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in MEP or HVAC maintenance, building operations, or property management.
- At least 2–3 years leading maintenance technicians or engineering teams.
- Strong knowledge of building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Able to coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and contractors effectively.
- Willing to be mobile and visit multiple properties as required.
- Background in property management, hospitality, commercial buildings, apartments, residential, hospitals, malls, or industrial facilities is an advantage.
