We&aposre Hiring: Head of Trading Operations
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily trading operations, ensuring timely execution, accurate processing, and smooth settlement of transactions
- Manage shipping documentation (e.g., bills of lading, customs declarations) and ensure compliance with trade requirements
- Handle bulk shipments and manage cargo/vessel operations
- Ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled for liquid bulk and containerized commodities
- Coordinate with counterparts on vessel nominations, agents, and surveyors
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of Letters of Credit (LC) negotiation
- Prepare and review laytime calculations for POL, resolving disputes/issues when necessary
- Lead and supervise operational teams, including training, performance monitoring, and mentoring to enhance team efficiency
- Foster a collaborative and positive work culture, ensuring operational support and coverage across the team
- Guide and support Back Office teams in contract reviews and risk assessments
- Proactively identify, evaluate, and mitigate financial/trade risks
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and escalate issues when necessary
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement practical and effective solutions
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field
- Minimum 6 years of experience in trade operations in commodity trading
- Has at least 3 years of Manager/Head experience
- Strong background in logistics coordination, risk management, and regulatory compliance
- Proficient in trade execution, contract management, and export documentation
