About The Role
The Head Of Product Legal is responsible for ensuring that the company operates according to the highest ethical, legal, and compliance standards. The Head of Legal's main roles are providing legal support and advicein relation to Information Technology, Digital Identity (PSRE license and E-KYC relevant services along with the supported infrastructure and technology), Insurance and Government Technology related projects in GoTo Financial and ensuring that the best possible service can be offered to the stakeholders by adopting a customer-oriented attitude by guiding stakeholders and offering them the most appropriate solution and excellent services. Support others by acting as an example within the job and supporting the stakeholders as a mentor (showing best practices on how to approach tasks and offer help where necessary and help them cope with difficulties. Stay informed about professional knowledge and technical skills in legal and product areas to maximize the professional knowledge and apply it within the organization in the best possible manner. The key area of focus is to make first-class know-how easily available to the legal team and to the organization with the aim of increasing the quality, consistency and/or cost-effectiveness of the advice that it gives to the stakeholders.
About The Team
The GoTo Financial Legal team is part of the External Affairs Division in GoTo Financial which is a combination of Legal, Corporate Affairs, Public Policy & Government Related and Anti-money laundering. GoTo Financial Legal is also heavily in collaboration with the larger GoTo Group Legal team. The gist of our role is to support the internal stakeholders efforts to scale GoTo's Group business operations whilst managing legal risks appropriately. GoTo Financial legal team works closely with the Business, Product, and various functional teams across the organization, we act as a strategic partner to GoTo Group.
GoTo Financial legal focus will be mainly on the payments and lending business in GoTo Financial (i.e. , payment gateway, e-money, e-wallet, multi-finance, P2P lending, and merchant services), strategic deals, partnerships, data protection & privacy, intellectual property, antitrust/competition law, among other domains.
