We are looking for a Head of Product Development to lead the end-to-end development of first-party and private label products, from concept to market launch. This role is responsible for ensuring product ideas are translated into high-quality, commercially viable products that meet cost, quality, and timeline targets. You will play a key role in building strong private label capabilities and enabling scalable, profitable product growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive innovation by leading end-to-end product development, from concept creation to successful market launch across multiple categories
- Transform product ideas and briefs into detailed specifications, including formulation, packaging, and performance standards
- Ensure all new products align with target cost structures, pricing strategies, and contribution margin goals
- Identify, evaluate, and establish manufacturing partnerships for private label production
- Lead supplier sourcing, negotiation, and onboarding to support scalable and cost-effective production
- Conduct feasibility studies and implement cost optimization strategies throughout the development process
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards for all product launches
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Category Management, Supply Planning, Quality Assurance, and Operations teams
- Support successful product launches while continuously improving and expanding the product portfolio through innovation
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Product Development, Business, or related field.
- 8–12 years of experience in product development, sourcing, or manufacturing (FMCG / Consumer Goods / Private Label).
- 4+ years of experience leading product development teams.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, cost structures, and supplier management.
- Experience working with OEM / ODM manufacturers (Indonesia / China / Southeast Asia preferred).
- Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proven track record of launching products from concept to market.
