Mission of the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Operations to provide strategic leadership and executive oversight across our diverse business lines. This is a pivotal role for a seasoned operations leader who thrives in complex, multi-site environments and is passionate about driving excellence, efficiency, and innovation.

As Head of Operations, reporting to Country Manager, you will ensure seamless alignment between corporate strategy and operational execution, overseeing senior leaders and engaging directly with executive stakeholders and clients. This is an opportunity to shape the future of our operations and make a lasting impact on the organization's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide executive oversight and governance for operational activities across Energy Commodities, Minerals and Metals, Agriculture, Laboratory Services Management, and Inspection Services.
  • Ensure alignment between sales commitments and operational capability, capacity, and risk controls.
  • Lead operational planning, resource allocation, and performance optimization across projects and sites.
  • Oversee implementation of quality management systems, HSE standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Review and approve major operational plans, risk assessments, and non-routine activities.
  • Partner with commercial and sales teams in high-level client discussions and strategic tenders.
  • Monitor operational KPIs, cost efficiency, and service performance, driving continuous improvement.
  • Act as executive liaison with key clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications, Experience and Technical Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
  • 1215 years of professional experience in operations or industrial services.
  • 57 years in senior management or executive operational roles.
  • Proven track record managing large-scale, multi-site operations.
  • Strategic Vision: Ability to translate corporate strategy into operational execution and long-term planning.
  • Decision-Making: Strong judgment in balancing risk, compliance, and business performance.
  • Change Leadership: Skilled in driving organizational transformation, process improvement, and innovation.
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with executives, boards, clients, and regulators.
  • Team Leadership: Proven ability to inspire, mentor, and develop senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Operational Excellence: Commitment to continuous improvement, efficiency, and high-quality service delivery.
  • Resilience & Adaptability: Ability to navigate complex, dynamic environments and lead through uncertainty.
