Head of Finance, Accounting & Tax (Mandarin Speaker)

We are looking for a detail-oriented and hands-on Head of Finance to lead our finance team. This role suits a finance professional ready to take ownership of the finance, accounting, taxation, and reporting function while working closely with top management on compliance and regulatory matters.

You will own the company's finance, accounting, and reporting functions, with direct responsibility for tax compliance and regulatory requirements in Indonesia. The ideal candidate is analytical, organised, and comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day finance and accounting operations, including oversight of data entry, transaction processing, and recordkeeping
• Own the preparation of financial reports, general ledger entries, reconciliations, and monthly reporting to management and HQ
• Lead financial planning activities, including detailed budget analysis, variance analysis, and multi-period financial projections; present findings and recommendations to management
• Establish and continuously strengthen internal controls; own internal audit processes, HQ reporting, and comprehensive reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Drive tax planning and compliance, including tax reporting, transfer pricing, hedging policy updates/reviews, equalization with internal FAT team and external parties, and tax projections
• Oversee end-to-end cash flow control, covering payment processes, client money management, exchange margin, and monitoring of P&L and revenue movements
• Ensure full compliance with Indonesian accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements to relevant authorities (OJK, BAPPEBTI, Bank Indonesia, ICH, ICDX)
• Coordinate and lead documentation and support for internal and external audits
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfil financial data requests and regulatory reporting needs
• Drive process improvement initiatives, including finance automation, productivity enhancements, and the use of AI tools
• Maintain a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail across all financial functions and set that standard for the team

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Proven experience in financial planning & analysis (budgeting, forecasting, projections)
• Hands-on experience with internal audit, internal controls, and HQ reporting
• Solid knowledge of Indonesian tax planning, transfer pricing, and hedging-related tax/finance matters
• Mandarin language proficiency required; fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and working proficiency in English
• Familiarity with AI tools or finance systems to support workflow efficiency is a bonus
