The Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary in Padangtegal is managed by the village of Padangtegal and is overseen by the Padangtegal Wenara Wana Foundation. The sanctuary is a vital part of the cultural and spiritual identity of the local community. Renowned for its conservation and preservation efforts, it serves as a haven for wildlife, particularly Balinese long-tailed monkeys, and attracts visitors worldwide. The sanctuary is located in the heart of Ubud, Indonesia, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to environmental conservation and community engagement.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ubud for a Head of Engineering. The Head of Engineering will lead and manage engineering projects, oversee a team of engineers, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver infrastructural and technological advancements within the sanctuary. Responsibilities include project planning, resource allocation, supervising construction and maintenance, and driving innovation to enhance sustainability and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Team Management, Team Leadership, and mentoring teams
  • Proven experience in Engineering Management, including supervising and guiding engineering processes and projects
  • Expertise in Project Management, with the ability to plan, execute, and deliver projects effectively within deadlines
  • Proficiency in Software Development and engineering technologies
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Experience with environmentally sustainable engineering practices is an advantage
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred
