The Head of Business Development is responsible for leading and integrating the firm's Knowledge, Product, and Go-To-Market divisions to drive sustainable revenue growth, market positioning, and long-term strategic expansion.
This role serves as a key member of the leadership team, contributing to firm-wide strategic direction, commercial viability, and organizational growth. The position combines strategic leadership with strong execution capability across networking, client relationship management, marketing, and sales performance.
This role holds accountability for revenue generation, strategic partnerships, market expansion, and overall commercial excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Growth & Business Expansion:
- Define and lead the firm's business development and growth strategy
- Identify new market opportunities and revenue streams
- Develop strategic partnerships and ecosystem alliances
- Drive revenue growth and pipeline expansion
- Contribute to firm-wide strategic planning and long-term positioning
Client Relationship Management:
- Lead key account management for clients
- Oversee client acquisition, retention, and upselling strategies
- Ensure high client satisfaction and repeat business
Marketing & Go-To-Market Strategy:
- Define and oversee the firm's marketing strategy
- Ensure strong value proposition and differentiated market messaging
Sales & Revenue Performance:
- Lead sales strategy and monitor sales performance metrics
- Set revenue targets and ensure consistent achievement
Knowledge Leadership Insight:
- Oversee the Knowledge division to ensure strong market intelligence and industry insights
- Ensure research outputs translate into commercially viable opportunities
- Leverage industry trends, client insights, and competitive analysis to shape growth strategy
- Establish thought leadership positioning in priority sectors
Product Development:
- Guide the Product division in developing scalable consulting solutions
- Ensure strong product-market fit and commercial viability
- Drive innovation in service offerings
- Oversee pricing strategy and monetization models
- Align solution roadmap with market demand and strategic priorities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Economics, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- 1015 years of professional experience, with significant exposure in business development, sales, strategy, consulting, or commercial leadership roles
- Proven track record in driving revenue growth and managing multi-functional teams
- Strong understanding of management consulting business models and service commercialization
- Experience leading strategic planning, market expansion, or solution development initiatives
- Strong executive presence and ability to engage C-level stakeholders
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
