We're building a B2B SaaS from scratch and need 2 scrappy marketers to work alongside our Growth PM to acquire our first users. No brand guidelines, no existing audience, no big budgetjust pure hustle and creativity to build something from nothing.
Responsibility
- Build and nurture professional communities from zero (Reddit, LinkedIn Groups, Slack, Discord, Facebook Groups)
- Create content that cuts through AI-generated noise: real user stories, live demos, authentic case studies, controversial takes
- Host virtual events, live builds, and office hours that create genuine connections
- Execute Product Hunt launches, beta programs, and waitlist campaigns
- Develop guerrilla marketing tactics: cold outreach, community engagement, strategic commenting
- Build partnerships with micro-influencers, consultants, and complementary tools
- Run scrappy paid experiments (<$2k/month) focusing on highest-intent channels
- Create SEO-focused content that AI can't replicateoriginal research, data, insider perspectives
- Set up email nurture flows, onboarding sequences, and activation campaigns
- Track everything: CAC, activation rates, channel performance, community growth
Requirements
- 2-4 years in growth/digital marketing with early-stage startup experience
- Proven track record building audiences from scratch
- Experience with zero-budget marketing tactics that actually worked
- Strong writer who can create content that stands out
- Hands-on with tools: PostHog/analytics, email automation, Webflow/WordPress, Canva/Figma basics
- Active in online communitiesyou know where your audience hangs out
- Data-driven but creativeyou can run experiments and tell stories
- You've grown something from 0 to 1,000+ users/subscribers before
