Geospatial Thematic Mapping Officer

Job Description Summary :

Carrying out the preparation of data, information and maps for specific/special purposes, both for internal purposes such as Ops, management and external parties who require data, information and spatial maps, in accordance with company and organizational targets

Job Description :

• Presenting spatial information to meet the company's mapping needs, both internal and external.

• Coordinating and confirming spatial data/map requirements with users or management.

• Creating review reports in map form or other formats, if required by users/management.

• Managing and compiling map data used, whether sourced internally or externally, such as from ministries, agencies/institutions, and other parties, including general, specific, or strategic maps.

• Coordinating with teams from other departments/divisions, if necessary, within the company to ensure the resulting maps are effective and accurate.

Job Requirement :

• Bachelor's degree in Geography/Geodesy/Forestry/Earth Science or equivalent
• Minimum 8 years of experience in mapping using aerial imagery/photography and proficient in reading and analyzing maps
• Proficient in operating vector data mapping software (such as ArcGIS, GlobalMapper, QGIS) and other mapping software. Basic satellite image analysis, spatial/regional/spatial theory and analysis, and project management skills. Insight into the production process and certification of oil palm plantations.
• Communication skills for both internal and external parties

• Willing to be located in Jakarta
