Compile and validate exploration data provided by Wellsite Geologists
Develop and update geological models on a quarterly basis using drilling, mapping, and sampling data
Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations between geological models and actual mined data (model vs. actual)
Prepare internal exploration progress reports for management
Provide external reporting, including quarterly production reports and RKAB documentation
Monitor geological conditions within the pit, including anomalies in seam thickness, fault identification (e.g., washouts), and mined-out zones
Conduct routine in-pit mapping activities such as measuring seam thickness, strike and dip, fault mapping (if any), and coordinate with surveyors or use total station (TS) for data collection
Inspect and observe exposed coal or nickel seams to confirm mine-out status and geologic consistency
Monitor discrepancies between actual coal or nickel seam conditions and geological models, particularly in relation to thickness variance, coal quality, dip and strike, and the presence of faults.
