Frontend Developer

CONTEXT

Since the pioneering launch of Starlink satellites in 2018, Low Earth Orbit satellite constellations have reshaped global communication networks. They now represent the majority of active satellites in orbit, providing critical services from broadband access in underserved regions to disaster response. Their importance makes them a cornerstone of modern telecommunications.

Yet, the expansion of LEO megaconstellations such as Starlink, OneWeb, Kuiper or Guo Wang raises major challenges. The limited availability of frequency bands forces multiple operators to share spectrum, creating a complex environment of technical, regulatory, and commercial constraints. Ensuring compliance with international regulations to prevent interference, while navigating licensing requirements in every country, adds to this complexity.

At Groundspace, our mission is to deliver innovative solutions that help operators and regulators address these issues. We develop tools to better understand and mitigate interference, optimize network performance, and ensure adherence to global regulatory frameworks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will contribute to the maintenance and evolution of the user interfaces of Groundspace products, as well as the development of new product interfaces across multiple domains (e.g., spectrum monitoring, network optimisation, and orbital mission planning).

Maintain and improve the frontends of our products (feature development, bug fixes, refactoring, etc.)

Build and evolve UI components using React

Implement data-rich interfaces (dashboards, workflows, visualizations) for complex technical use cases

Integrate frontend applications with backend services and APIs (data fetching, error handling, authentication flows)

Ensure high-quality delivery through automated testing (unit, integration, end-to-end) and thorough QA practices

Contribute to engineering quality gates: code reviews, linting/static checks, and CI pipelines

Diagnose and resolve production UI issues, and implement preventive improvements

Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into intuitive, reliable user experiences

REQUIREMENTS

At least 5 years of professional experience in frontend development, including technical leadership on projects (design decisions, task breakdown, reviews, mentoring)

Strong proficiency in React (component architecture, state management, performance, best practices)

Solid experience building production-grade web UIs with modern JavaScript/TypeScript

Experience integrating with APIs (REST/HTTP, authentication patterns, robust client-side error handling)

Experience writing automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end)

Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows

Professional working proficiency in English

Good communication skills

SALARY

Compensation for this role is IDR 20,000,000 25,000,000 per month, depending on experience and seniority.
