About the Role

The Fleet Maintenance Controller is responsible for ensuring all vehicles are maintained in optimal condition through well-defined maintenance standards and efficient repair management. The role focuses on building strong SOPs, improving maintenance process flows, enhancing system visibility, and ensuring cost-effective, high-quality servicing across the fleet.

What You Will Do

    • Develop and implement clear SOPs for vehicle maintenance - including scheduling, repairs, approvals, and vendor SLAs.
    • Ensure all vehicles meet safety, reliability, and compliance standards through timely preventive and corrective maintenance.
    • Approve repair costs within limits and make sure all repair work meets agreed time, cost, and quality standards.
    • Manage and monitor workshops and vendors to ensure SLA performance, cost efficiency, and service quality.
    • Analyze maintenance data to find cost-saving opportunities and reduce vehicle downtime.
    • Improve maintenance workflows and visibility in the Vehicle Management System (VMS) for better tracking and planning.
    • Report maintenance performance and collaborate with Fleet, Procurement, and Finance teams to align with operational and budget goals.

What You Will Need

    • Minimum 8 years of experience in fleet maintenance, automotive workshop operations, or service management.
    • Proven experience managing maintenance schedules, vendors, and repair approvals.
    • Strong knowledge of maintenance processes, SOP design, and workflow improvement.
    • Moderate understanding of mechanical systems, parts, and repair quality.
    • Excellent vendor and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to analyze maintenance data, costs, and performance trends.
    • Hands-on background in preventive maintenance planning and cost control.
