Over the years, MSC has diversified its activities to include overland transportation, logistics and a growing portfolio of port terminal investments. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Revenue Control
  • Implement revenue completeness control processes for the following carrier revenues :

a. Mandatory and non-mandatory local charges (Administrative, logistics)

b. Mandatory origin and destination manifested charges (Terminals, logistics, administrative)

c. Intermodal and value-added services revenues

d. Demurrage and Detention

  • Supervise Demurrage & Detention Executive (1 headcount) to ensure timely D&D calculation and DO extension.

2. Cost Control

  • Conduct principal costs (vessel call disbursement accounts and monthly accounts) audit and post-closing reviews, including variation analysis.
  • Ensure value added services profitability
  • Monitor invoices to be issued account in SAP

3. Process & Systems

  • Develop systems for revenue control in collaboration with finance management and other departments.
  • Review and standardize finance processes, ensuring full compliance with policies across cost control, tax, accounting, treasury, and billing.
  • Optimize finance processes and systems across various tools (e.g., vendor portal, internal operating system for revenue and costs)

4. Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare Terminal and local revenues monthly reports for Corporate Logistics.
  • Compile BOD monthly reports, including local and contractual waiver impact and D&D data.
  • Provide D&D reporting to Corporate Logistics (import and export).
  • Support finance management with specific analysis (e.g., procurement, spot requests).

Requirement

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum 5 years in Finance or related roles, preferably in shipping or logistics industry
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and strong communication skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for internal and external coordination.
  • Technical Skills:

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced functions).

Knowledge of Power BI and basic VBA (preferred).

Familiarity with SAP (preferred).
