Role Overview
Pluang is hiring for a Finance Manager who will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end finance reconciliations, accounts payable operations, and financial reporting, including daily regulatory reporting. This role leads a finance operations team, ensures strong financial controls, and drives continuous process improvement and automation across finance workflows.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of relevant finance experience, strong analytical and leadership skills, hands-on expertise in reconciliations and reporting, and a proactive mindset toward automation and efficiency. Experience in fintech or highly regulated environments is a strong advantage.
Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable
- Responsible for all areas associated with the Purchase and Payable cycle, including invoice processing, vendor payments, employee expense reimbursements, and related month-end close activities.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and expense claims in accordance with company policies and internal controls.
- Lead and manage the Accounts Payable team, including task allocation, performance monitoring, and capability development.
- Ensure proper controls and approvals are in place for all disbursement transactions.
- Work closely with Procurement on vendor onboarding, purchase requests, and ensuring invoices are matched and applied correctly to purchase orders.
- Investigate and resolve vendor and internal stakeholder inquiries related to payments, expenses, and balances in a timely manner.
Reconciliation & Reporting
- Own daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring completeness and accuracy of all cash and bank-related transactions.
- Responsible for daily financial and transactional reporting required for regulatory purposes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders related to reconciliation and reporting matters, including auditors and regulators.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Develop, document, and maintain finance policies, processes, and standard operating procedures.
- Proactively identify gaps, inefficiencies, and risks within finance reconciliation, reporting, and AP processes.
- Propose, review, and implement process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability (e.g. system enhancements, workflow automation, reporting automation).
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Tech, Product, Operations) to support finance system improvements and integrations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with a strong understanding of accounting principles, Accounts Payable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance operations, reconciliation, reporting, or managerial roles, preferably in fintech, financial services, or a regulated environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively identify issues and drive solutions.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing a finance team.
- High attention to detail with strong ownership over data accuracy and controls.
- Solid organizational skills, including effective prioritization and time management in a fast-paced environment and excellent communication skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
