Main Responsibilities
Under the responsibility of the Shift Supervisor, the Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the activities of a specific section of the processing plant. They ensure compliance with safety standards, operational procedures, and production goals.
Here Are Your Main Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of operators in a specific area of the plant;
- Ensure the implementation of safety instructions and adherence to operational procedures;
- Organize the daily tasks of the team based on production priorities;
- Regularly monitor the proper functioning of equipment and report any anomalies or breakdowns to the relevant department;
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and optimize production;
- Ensure ongoing training of team members;
- Take ownership of and comply with the company's Health & Safety policy and Sustainability policy;
- Report any incidents or abnormal situations, as well as events that could have serious consequences, so that corrective actions can be implemented to prevent recurrence.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of specific processing methods at the plant (crushing, grinding, etc.);
- Excellent communication skills in French, both written and verbal;
- Ability to diagnose and resolve production issues;
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage a team in a multicultural environment;
- Fluency in French is mandatory.
Training & Experience
- BTS or equivalent
- Experience: 3 to 5 years in gold processing plants, or in a similar role.
The position is based at our BOTO site in Senegal.
