The engineering lead/manager is a person accountable for ensuring our technology solutions and systems can meet the increasing demands of scale, reliability, performance, and cost effectiveness.
What You Will Do:
Evolve, refactor, or redesign our system architecture to meet the increasing demands of scale, reliability, performance, and cost effectiveness.
Establish and operationalize IT governance, strategy, and process for a high volume and extremely reliable systems.
Identify, select, and implement the best tech stacks for each system.
Deliver on performance requirements of systems and applications workloads.
Identify and lead process re-engineering across the organization at the system level to drive the highest quality experience and lower costs overall for IT
Lead the discovery,comparison and evaluation of potential systems solutions to meet organization strategic objectives and requirements.
Provide expert technical guidance to internal teams.
Participate in the strategic planning process, coordinating with Product Management and Software to align engineering and business priorities
Hold deep understanding of all the key levers of the business, how they work together, and how that should affect system architecture, systems delivery and systems management.
Influences the thinking of the leadership team through sound reasoning, data, positive working relationships, and succinctly articulated arguments.
Be an effective manager of managers. Can coach and grow people to their next level. Takes swift, decisive, and wise action when facing manager performance issues. Wisely and appropriately utilizes skip-level relationships.
Attract, hire, and develop senior to staff-level team members.
Hold oneself, your team, and other units responsible for achieving team level and company-level OKRs.
What You Will Need:
Be willing to work from office in Jakarta, elevate the working culture, and provide positive feedback to our team.
Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia or be very keen to learn
BA/BS degree, preferably in computer science or related field.
7+ years experiencein managing diverse engineering team
12+ years total experience in software engineering, with experience at a high-growth company or start-up a plus
Experience hiring and building world-class technology teams
Capacity for self-motivation, independent initiative and creative problem-solving
Ability to manage time and schedules to meet deadlines
Excellent communication (written and verbal) in explaining your work, process, and decisions to cross-functional stakeholders.
Keen seeker of feedback to help you and your team produce our best work.
