Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and grow our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing technical projects, managing a team of engineers, responsible for the hiring process, and ensuring that our products are delivered with high quality, on time, and aligned with business goals. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent communication skills.

What you&aposll Do:

  • Lead a team of software engineers responsible for delivering impactful features across one or multiple products.
  • Drive the end-to-end development process from planning, design, implementation, testing and release.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with the cross functional teams consisting of product and business stakeholders, engineers and QA in an agile, fast-paced environment.
  • Provide technical leadership by evaluating technical designs and driving architectural direction for their team.
  • Proactively monitor, suggest and implement best practices across engineering and operational excellence - observability, reliability, quality, performance, security, production support.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of software engineers, also regularly provide constructive feedback to team members to achieve their performance and development goals.
  • Actively participate in hiring and improving the onboarding and retention of new engineers.
  • Drive team OKRs.
  • Build a deep understanding of the product and engineering workflows.
  • Ensure the team makes the right decisions considering time to market and deliverables.
  • Have enough technical knowledge to accurately estimate tasks, help in troubleshooting issues and incidents, and act as a safety net for technical decisions.

What where looking for:

  • Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or any related field.
  • Have total experience 5-7 years, with 2-3 years experience of managing team in a fast-paced environment.
  • A growth mindset with passion for building things from the ground up, and most importantly, leading by example.
  • Passionate about coaching and people development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills focused on improving. collaboration, understanding and information sharing across cross functional and distributed teams.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize and focus on value delivering initiatives.
  • Ability to think strategically and implement processes to lead the engineers towards excellence.
  • Hands-on experience in a programming, technical design, micro services development and event driven architecture.

Plus point if you have:

  • Experience with Kotlin, Spring Boot, Jenkins for CI/CD, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience in the climate tech industry or knowledge of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and carbon credit.
  • Experience in projects involving a marketplace, inventory management.
