Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed shop drawings for fabrication works (e.g. structural steel, piping, supports, modules, skids) in accordance with IFC drawings, specifications, and engineering requirements.
- Produce and update shop drawings, GA drawings, and material take‑offs (MTOs) from 3D models when required.
- Ensure drawings clearly indicate dimensions, materials, weld details, tolerances, and fabrication notes.
- Coordinate with engineers, checkers, modelers, and fabrication teams to resolve design, constructability, and drawing issues.
- Incorporate comments from engineers, clients, and third parties accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain drawing registers, revision histories, and transmittals, and manage revisions in line with project change control procedures.
- Ensure proper filing, naming, and version control of drawings within the company CAD / document management system.
- Follow company procedures, drafting standards, and work instructions to ensure consistent and high‑quality outputs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and comply with company policies, HSSE requirements, and code of conduct.
Requirements:
- Diploma or technical qualification in Drafting, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years experience producing shop drawings for fabrication yards or EPC projects.
- Proficient in Tekla Structures and AutoCAD; experience with 3D modeling tools such as Nupas is an advantage.
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including structural drawings, piping isometrics, and GA drawings.
- Good understanding of fabrication processes, welding symbols, materials, and BOM/MTO preparation.
- High attention to detail, strong coordination skills, and ability to work under schedule pressure.
