About The Role
Responsible for the overhaul, repair, installation & commissioning of Electro Mechanical equipment to support our client. Preparing, coordinating and carrying out inspections and repairs of all Motor types and Generator at customer sites inside and outside the country, within the specified time and at the estimated cost.
Main Tasks And Responsibilities
- Carrying out reparations and inspections inside and outside the country at customer sites.
- Provision of safe and effective site and workshop overhaul, repair, installation and commissioning services for Electro Mechanical family rotating equipment.
- Be the first point of contact for allocated customers in respect of any issues relating to agreed on-site scopes of work.
- Develop strong relationships with key client contacts.
- Be responsible for on-site Health & Safety.
- Compile on-site Risk Assessments for scopes of work.
- Lead and supervise on-site repair teams during site contract execution.
- Provide continuous improvement in repair, installation and commissioning activities.
- Develop and maintain good and effective relationships with clients to optimise further service opportunities.
- Liaise with technical departments within Sulzer to develop engineering solutions.
- Manage relevant suppliers and subcontractors.
- Compilation of comprehensive site reports in line with company quality management system.
- Communication: communicates (in English as well) with Supervisor Field Service, Site Manager, contractors, and internal Sulzer Services departments.
- Writing daily reports.
- Work with: PC, MS Office package, telephone, hand tools, lifting equipment and gear, Sulzer regulations, OEM instructions, customer rules and regulations and local safety regulations.
Competencies and behaviour required (What strengths needed)
- Requirement: Min D3 engineering background: Mechanical or Electrical.
- Possess General Knowledge of mechanical and overall Electric Motor and Turbo Generator maintenance. Familiar with tools, hand tools, and special tools.
- Familiar with Electrical Inspection such as insulation Resistance, Polarization Index, Widing Resistance etc and Mechanical Inspection such as Stator Wedge Analysis, Bump Test, Etc
- Familiar with technical drawing, symbols and legend, P&ID diagram.
- Behaviour requirement: Achievement Orientation, communication for result, teamwork, active learning, business awareness, problem solving and analytical thinking
Qualifications/Experience And Knowledge Required
- Relevant experience of minimum 5 years of working on Electric Motor and Turbo Generator.
- Proficient in English. Certification in TOEIC is Preferable
- Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings and data
- Past worked in the OEM is preferable
- Familiar with safety code and procedure for startup and commissioning
