Job Title: Director of Sales and Development
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly driven and strategic Sales Director to lead and scale our commercial performance across Indonesia. This role will be responsible for overseeing multi-store sales operations (50+ locations), driving revenue growth, optimizing profitability, and leading large, high-performing teams across retail and hospitality environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Growth
- Develop and execute national sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion
- Identify new business opportunities and optimize existing channels to maximize performance
- Set ambitious yet achievable sales targets and ensure consistent delivery across all locations
- Multi-Store Operations Management
- Oversee sales performance across 50+ stores nationwide, ensuring operational excellence and consistency
- Collaborate with regional leaders to ensure alignment with company objectives and KPIs
- Monitor and improve store-level productivity, conversion rates, and customer experience
- Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop large, diverse sales teams across multiple regions
- Build a high-performance culture with strong accountability and ownership
- Partner with HR to recruit, train, and retain top sales talent
- Financial & P&L Management
- Own and manage the overall sales P&L, ensuring profitability and cost efficiency
- Analyse financial performance, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions
- Drive initiatives to improve margins and operational efficiency
- Data & Performance Analytics
- Leverage data-driven insights to guide decision-making and strategy
- Establish and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and reporting systems
- Continuously evaluate sales trends, customer behaviour, and market dynamics
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Marketing, Operations, and Product teams to align business strategies
- Support new store openings, expansions, and business transformation initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related field (MBA is a plus)
- Minimum 1015 years of experience in sales leadership roles
- Proven track record managing 50+ stores or multi-unit operations across Indonesia
- Strong background in retail and/or hospitality industry
- Demonstrated experience handling large-scale teams (200+ employees)
- Solid expertise in P&L management, financial analysis, and business strategy
- Highly data-driven with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities
- Results-oriented, growth-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in scaling businesses or leading rapid expansion
- Strong understanding of the Indonesian market landscape
- Experience in omnichannel or digital sales transformation
