The Digital Product Lead is responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and execution of a multi-sided digital marketplace connecting buyers and sellers. This role focuses on scaling platform adoption, improving user experience, optimizing transactions, and maximizing marketplace liquidity, trust, and revenue.
You will lead cross-functional teams to build and evolve marketplace features across web and mobile platforms, balancing customer needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
- Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and long-term strategy for the marketplace platform
- Identify growth opportunities across the marketplace funnel (acquisition, activation, engagement, conversion, retention)
- Balance buyer and seller needs to ensure marketplace health and liquidity
Marketplace & Platform Development
- Lead development of core marketplace features such as:
- Search, discovery, and recommendations
- Listings and catalog management
- Pricing, promotions, and monetization tools
- Checkout, payments, and order management
- Ratings, reviews, trust & safety mechanisms
- Optimize end-to-end user journeys for both demand and supply sides
- Drive experimentation (A/B testing) to improve conversion and engagement
Execution & Delivery
- Own and prioritize the product backlog, defining clear requirements and success metrics
- Work closely with engineering, UX/UI, data, marketing, operations, and customer support teams
- Make informed trade-offs on scope, timing, and resources
- Ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable product releases
Data & Performance Management
- Define and track marketplace KPIs (GMV, conversion rate, CAC, LTV, churn, supply-demand balance)
- Use data insights, user research, and feedback to inform decisions
- Continuously optimize products based on performance and customer behavior
Stakeholder & Leadership Engagement
- Act as the key product point of contact for senior stakeholders
- Communicate product vision, progress, and outcomes clearly and effectively
- Champion a customer-centric and experimentation-driven product culture
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in digital product management, ideally within an e-commerce or marketplace business
- Proven experience managing complex digital platforms or two-sided marketplaces
- Strong understanding of Agile/Lean product development
- Experience working with data analytics and experimentation tools
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
