About the Role
The Assistant Manager DevOps Infra Support Engineer is responsible for maintaining, managing, and monitoring DevOps infrastructure and tools across development and production environments within PSLA. This role ensures the reliability, availability, and performance of PAAS platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tools while working closely with infrastructure and application teams.
Responsibilities
Production & Infrastructure Support
- Manage, maintain, and monitor PAAS systems in production environments, including OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Assist application teams with deployment activities to PAAS platforms.
- Ensure PAAS platforms operate reliably and efficiently to prevent service disruptions.
Monitoring & Incident Management
- Manage and maintain monitoring systems such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and related exporters.
- Monitor alerts generated by PAAS and monitoring tools and perform necessary follow-up actions.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to identify root causes and implement long-term solutions.
DevOps Tools & CI/CD
- Manage and maintain CI/CD tools in both development and production environments (e.g., Jenkins).
- Monitor and maintain SLA performance for DevOps tools in cloud environments in coordination with regional teams (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, JFrog Artifactory, OpenShift).
Collaboration & Enablement
- Support tribe and application teams in using DevOps tools, PAAS platforms, and CI/CD pipelines through hands-on assistance and regular knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Work closely with other infrastructure teams to ensure system stability and continuous improvement.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience with DevOps automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Ansible).
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with Unix/Linux environments.
- Hands-on experience with PAAS platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Strong scripting skills, particularly in Bash.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, High Availability, and Load Balancing.

- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new and evolving DevOps and monitoring technologies.
