Data Scientist

Job Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Scientist to transform complex data into actionable business insights. In this role, you will be responsible for extracting, analyzing, and modeling large datasets, developing machine learning algorithms, and delivering data-driven solutions that support business decision-making. You will collaborate closely with business and IT teams to identify opportunities, optimize processes, and implement predictive analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Extract and integrate data from various sources and formats, including databases, BI tools, spreadsheets, and other data platforms.
• Perform data profiling, exploratory data analysis (EDA), and data distribution analysis to identify trends, patterns, and valuable insights.
• Clean, preprocess, validate, and ensure the quality and integrity of data, including handling missing values, outliers, and inconsistencies.
• Conduct feature selection and feature engineering to prepare datasets for advanced analytics and machine learning models.
• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify patterns and develop data-driven solutions that support business objectives.
• Develop, evaluate, and optimize predictive models and machine learning algorithms based on business requirements.
• Present analytical findings, insights, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders and end users.
• Collaborate with business users, IT teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective analytics solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in data science, machine learning, and big data analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or other related disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Data Science, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, or related fields.

Technical Requirements

• Strong experience with SQL, SQL Server, Microsoft Office, and BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in programming languages and tools for statistical analysis and data processing, such as Python, PySpark, Spark, or similar technologies.
• Experience working with large-scale datasets and big data environments.
• Strong understanding of machine learning techniques, including clustering, classification, regression, artificial neural networks (ANN), and predictive modeling.
• Hands-on experience in data extraction, querying, profiling, exploratory data analysis, data modeling, prediction, and data visualization.
• Experience with SAP HANA and HANA Machine Learning (HANA ML) is a plus.
• Experience with big data tools and ecosystems (e.g., Hadoop) is an advantage.
