We're looking for a hands-on, end-to-end Data Scientist who thrives at the grassroots level — designing, building, and deploying AI/ML and LLM solutions that create real impact across OCBC Indonesia's banking operations. You won't just model — you'll own the full pipeline, from raw data to production.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy LLM-powered solutions — RAG pipelines, document intelligence, summarization, and conversational AI — on-premise and in cloud environments.
- Build scalable AI automation pipelines targeting straight-through processing — OCR, ASR, fraud detection, and ID verification systems.
- Develop and productionize ML models for fraud detection, credit risk, customer behavior, and personalization.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and business stakeholders — translating ambiguous problems into deployable solutions.
- Champion MLOps best practices — versioning, monitoring, CI/CD for models, and reproducibility at scale.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in data science or machine learning, with a demonstrable track record of delivering production systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow.
- Practical experience building and deploying LLM-based solutions (e.g. vLLM, LangChain, OpenAI API, Hugging Face).
- Experience with model serving frameworks and API development (FastAPI or equivalent).
- Solid understanding of MLOps practices — model monitoring, versioning, and deployment pipelines.
- Comfortable working with unstructured data, including documents, images, and audio.
- Familiarity with Cloudera Machine Learning or other enterprise ML platforms.
- Exposure to on-premise LLM deployment and GPU infrastructure management.
- Experience with OCR pipelines, speech recognition (e.g. Whisper), or computer vision systems.
- Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
