Hacktiv8 is a bootcamp company that transforms beginners into qualified digital talents in Fullstack Development, Data Science, Data Analytics, Golang, and Performance Marketing. We are looking for an Instructor Data Science to run our bootcamps.

Working Type: WFO (Office Location at Pondok Indah, Jakarta Selatan)
Working Day: Monday - Friday
What You'll Do:
- Create a curriculum and teaching materials that encompass Data Analytics, Data Science, and Data Engineering using simplified terms, words, language, and illustrations.
- Conduct researches regarding the qualifications and skills sought by companies in the field of data, as well as the current trending skills.
- Create daily materials to be used by instructors for teaching purposes.
- Design assignments that meet the standards of Hacktiv8 quality and the needs of companies with detailed rubrics that need to be answered by the students.
- Provide additional relevant materials that were not covered during the class session to support student abilities.
- Teach data-related subject materials to students following Hacktiv8 teaching standards.
- Providing clear explanations to address student questions and resolve any confusion.
- Resolving error codes encountered by students while working on assignments.
- Assist alumni when needed by providing opinions/perspectives in addressing data-related issues.
- Providing constructive feedback on student's assignments with organized and detailed explanations without harshly judging the student's answer.
- Engaging in 1-on-1 mentoring/evaluation sessions if a student is significantly falling behind in their learning/understanding.
- Providing recommendations to the DTSC Lead regarding tools that may be useful to support the effectiveness of student learning activities.
Role Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in STEM, IT, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields.
- Minimum 3+ years experience in Data Analytics, Data Science, or Business Intelligence. (Experience in the fintech, telecommunications, banking, or logistics industry is a plus)
- Experience developing learning materials or teaching in bootcamps/academic settings is preferred.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end data workflow, including data preparation, analysis, modeling, visualization, and deployment:
Programming & Data Science: Python (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, seaborn)
Querying & Databases: SQL (expert-level) and NoSQL
Data Engineering: ETL workflows, data pipelines (foundational)
Visualization: Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio
- Experience with cloud or data infrastructure, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (preferred).
- Experience with developer workflows, including Git/GitHub, command-line, version control, and basic CI/CD.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, able to translate business problems into data-driven solutions.
- Familiarity with modern data workflows, tools, and best practices for reproducible analytics and model development.
- Strong teaching and communication abilities; able to explain complex concepts simply.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple curriculum or data projects simultaneously.
- Collaborative mindset; able to work with instructors, SMEs, and cross-functional teams.
- Growth mindset, problem-solving skills, and a passion for education and technology.
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging lessons, conduct live coding sessions, and evaluate student performance through projects and code reviews.
- Collaborative mindset with experience in curriculum improvement, assessment, and continuous teaching quality enhancement.
- Passionate about education, technology, and helping students grow into industry-ready developers.
- (Preferred) Experience teaching or mentoring in a bootcamp or academic environment
