Data Engineer

Job Description

• Design, develop, and maintain data transformation and modeling processes within the data warehouse
• Build, optimize, and maintain data pipelines and workflows to ensure reliable and scalable data processing
• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver reliable data solutions
• Develop and maintain data warehouse schemas, tables, and views to support analytics and reporting
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance standards are met
• Monitor data pipeline performance and continuously improve scalability, reliability, and efficiency
• Create and maintain documentation for data pipelines, data models, and engineering processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 1–2 years of experience in Data Engineering or a similar role
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing, transformation, and automation
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data integration concepts
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP and cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery or Snowflake
• Understanding of data modeling principles, including dimensional modeling and star schema
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and basic containerization technologies such as Docker is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Good communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
