Role Overview
We are looking for a Data Engineer to build and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. You will be responsible for transforming raw data into reliable, accessible datasets and supporting business teams with accurate and timely data for decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert raw data into clean, structured, and usable datasets
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and SQL
- Develop and manage workflows using Apache Airflow
- Manage data repositories, data stores, and integration platforms
- Support development of data architecture on Alibaba Cloud (e.g., OSS, MaxCompute, DataWorks, RDS)
- Ensure data availability, accessibility, and basic security practices
- Develop tools, workflows, and dashboards to collect and integrate data from multiple sources
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure reliability
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand and deliver data requirements
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Data-related role
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience using Apache Airflow is preferred
- Familiarity with Alibaba Cloud ecosystem is a plus
- Basic understanding of:
- ETL/ELT processes
- Data architecture concepts
- Relational and non-relational databases
- Ability to handle data from multiple sources
