Data Engineer

Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team in Southeast Asia. The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of experience in designing and implementing data pipelines and systems that empower data-driven decision making. You will be responsible for building and maintaining our data infrastructure, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver insights.

• Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Maximum age: 34 years old
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience using IBM DataStage
• Experience working with SQL Server and/or Oracle Database
• Strong knowledge of ETL processes and data integration
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Banking experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design, construct, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support data ingestion and processing.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to define data requirements and optimize data delivery.
• Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing validation checks and monitoring data flows.
• Work with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka to process and analyze large datasets.
• Develop and maintain data models and data warehouses for analytics and reporting purposes.
• Implement data governance practices to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.

Skills and Qualifications

• 3-7 years of experience in data engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL databases.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala for data manipulation and processing.
• Experience with ETL tools and frameworks, such as Apache NiFi or Talend.
• Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience with tools like AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake.
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
