Country Manager – Indonesia

Our solutions are proven, sustainable, and cost‑effective, and have been successfully implemented in thousands of projects worldwide over several decades.
We are expanding our presence in Indonesia – a key strategic market – and are looking for a Country Manager / Business Development Manager to build, lead, and scale our local operations.
Role Description
This is a senior, highly field‑oriented position, requiring substantial time spent meeting with clients, partners, and project teams across different regions and infrastructure sectors. The Country Manager will be responsible for business development, strategic relationships, and execution in the country, working in close collaboration with global management and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business development and sales activities in Indonesia, with a primary focus on civil infrastructure and railway projects.
- Identify, qualify, and develop new opportunities; manage complex, long‑cycle sales processes for large‑scale infrastructure projects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, authorities, and other key stakeholders.
- Represent the company in commercial meetings, as well as in technical and commercial presentations and contract negotiations.
- Drive market expansion beyond core sectors into additional infrastructure segments (e.g., mining, ports, airports, and large private infrastructure projects), taking ownership of specific segments as part of the growth strategy.
- Maintain a strong field presence, including frequent travel to project sites and customer facilities.
- Act as the central coordination point between commercial, technical, and operational stakeholders in Indonesia and headquarters.
- Provide ongoing market information, competitive intelligence, and structured feedback to management to support strategic decision‑making.
Requirements
- Degree in engineering (civil, infrastructure, or a related discipline).
- Experience in infrastructure, construction, rail, ports, airports, and/or industrial projects.
- Strong interest in, and proven capability for, business development and sales.
- Experience managing long sales cycles with multiple stakeholders and decision‑makers.
- High level of autonomy, ownership, and responsibility; able to operate as a true country owner.
