Job Role:

The Country General Manager is a high-impact executive role responsible for the end-to-end strategic development and operational success of the company and business in Indonesia. This role involves designing market entry strategies, building a robust localized franchise network, and ensuring that the brand's global SOPs are successfully adapted to the Indonesian cultural and regulatory environment. As the primary leader in the region, you will be responsible for single-store ROI, brand equity, and the establishment of a high-performing local team.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Market Entry & Development

  • Formulate a 3-5 year development strategy for Indonesia, including differentiated market entry plans and annual investment targets.
  • Optimize franchise policies, including investment models and sharing mechanisms, to enhance brand attractiveness and franchisee retention.
  • Lead regional marketing strategies, brand promotion activities, and social media/KOL collaborations.

Franchise & Network Management

  • Build a localized investment network involving industry associations and agencies to lead franchisee development and signing.
  • Establish a hierarchical management system for franchisees, organizing regular summits to resolve common operational challenges.
  • Coordinate site selection evaluations and decoration standards to ensure store openings meet ROI standards.

Operational Excellence & Localization

  • Supervise the implementation of global SOPs and improve store efficiency through data monitoring and regular shop tours.
  • Drive product localization, collaborating with R&D to adjust tastes, menus, and religious compliance (e.g., Halal requirements) for the Indonesian market.
  • Establish crisis response mechanisms for customer complaints and public relations events.

Leadership & Compliance

  • Set up and manage the local Indonesian team across Investment, Operations, and Construction departments.
  • Develop performance evaluation mechanisms and ensure 100% business compliance with local food safety, labor policies, and tax laws.
  • Act as the primary bridge between the Global Headquarters and the local team to align strategic goals.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the F&B industry, especially in Chain Catering businesses.
  • Current or past level and role in senior or executive leadership, handling Market Entry & Strategic Growth, Franchise & Commercial Network Development, Operational Excellence & Localization, and Financial Performance and P&L Ownership.
  • At least 5 years of experience specifically within Multinational Franchise Systems.
  • Deep understanding of the full franchise lifecycle: investment promotion, construction support, and operational supervision.
  • Familiarity with the Indonesian business ecology and political-business resources.
  • Data-driven decision-making skills with the ability to optimize strategies through business analysis.
  • Outstanding cross-cultural management skills.
  • Strong resource integration ability.
  • Proven track record of scaling F&B brands in new markets.
  • Professional Fluency in Mandarin and English on business and professional level is mandatory for reporting to HQ and managing local operations.
