About the Role
We are a leading car manufacturer in Indonesia seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Cost Accounting Supervisor to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment and a passion for improving operational efficiency and cost control.
Key Responsibilities
- Calculate and analyze the Cost of Goods Manufactured (COGM), ensuring accuracy in product costing.
- Track and monitor direct and indirect production costs including raw materials, labor, overhead, and logistics.
- Develop, maintain, and improve cost accounting systems and procedures in line with company policies and best practices.
- Perform variance analysis between actual and standard costs; investigate and report significant deviations.
- Identify and recommend cost-saving initiatives and process improvements to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
- Prepare detailed cost reports and financial analysis to support decision-making by senior management.
- Oversee and ensure the accuracy of inventory records; analyze inventory valuation and optimize inventory turnover.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Production, Procurement, and Operations) to ensure cohesive cost tracking and transparency.
- Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting process, particularly regarding production and cost planning.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cost accounting within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of standard costing, cost analysis, and manufacturing workflows.
- Experience with SAP systems is a strong advantage.
- Solid knowledge of inventory management, production processes, and cost control principles.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset.
- Proficient in English, both verbal and written.
