Job Description

The Corporate Development Manager is responsible for driving the company's strategic growth initiatives through business development, M&A execution, strategic partnerships, portfolio management, and market expansion planning. This role requires strong strategic insight, analytical capability, and cross-functional leadership to identify, evaluate, and execute opportunities that strengthen PT Ancora Indonesia Resources Tbk's long-term competitive position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize strategic growth opportunities aligned with the company's long-term vision.
  • Conduct strategic assessments of new business verticals, diversification opportunities, and market entry strategies.
  • Develop business cases and strategic roadmaps to support executive-level decision-making.
  • Lead end-to-end M&A activities: deal sourcing, market scanning, valuation, due diligence, deal structuring, negotiation, and post-merger integration.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (legal, finance, operations) and external advisors to ensure smooth execution of transactions.
  • Maintain a pipeline of potential deals and strategic partnership opportunities.
  • Identify and evaluate potential partners (local and international) for commercial, operational, or technical collaboration.
  • Structure and negotiate partnership agreements, joint ventures, and strategic alliances.
  • Manage long-term performance and alignment of key partnerships.
  • Evaluate performance of existing business units and investments.
  • Design portfolio optimization strategies including divestments, restructuring, or integration improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field; MBA or Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate development, management consulting, investment banking, financial advisory or strategic planning.
  • Experience handling strategic transactions or large-scale business development projects.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including: 1) Complex financial modeling (DCF, LBO, sensitivity analysis, project finance models, etc.), 2) valuation model, 3) synergy analysis, and 4) scenario planning.
  • PowerPoint (Financial Presentation) expertise: 1) Building clean, professional, and executive-level strategy decks, 2) market and competitor analysis decks, 3) M&A and investment proposal.
  • Valuation expertise, including: 1) Equity valuation, 2) Project and asset valuation, 3) Comparable company and transaction analysis.
