Job Overview
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Control Tower Supervisor to manage and coordinate sea freight operations, ensuring smooth communication between customers and internal teams while maintaining high service standards.
Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for customers regarding sea freight inquiries and shipment status.
- Handle and resolve customer complaints and issues related to sea freight.
- Coordinate with internal teams (logistics, warehouse, sea freight) and external parties (shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs) to ensure efficient cargo operations.
- Monitor, track, and provide timely updates on sea freight shipments, proactively communicating delays or concerns.
- Manage and process all related sea freight documentation, including booking confirmations, bills of lading, and import/export declarations.
- Maintain accurate records for auditing and compliance, including customer interactions and shipment details.
- Generate and verify vendor invoices, ensuring billing accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
- Manage and handle tariff memos related to sea freight charges.
- Provide customers with shipment tracking information proactively and on request.
- Support sales activities, including customer engagement and identifying potential business opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in any major.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, preferably in a freight forwarding or expedition company.
- Prior experience as Key Account Management (KAM) in EXIM (Export-Import) logistics is highly preferred.
- Strong background in customer service, operations, and administrative tasks related to logistics.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, invoicing, and communication.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
- Willing to be based in Surabaya.
