Main Responsibilities
Under the responsibility of the Shift Supervisor, the Control Room Supervisor is responsible for overseeing, controlling, and optimizing operations while ensuring the safety and proper functioning of equipment via the SCADA system. The goal is to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous production within the plant.
Here Are Your Main Responsibilities
- Supervise the operations and performance of equipment and processes in real-time via the SCADA system;
- Control and adjust process parameters to maintain optimal operating conditions;
- Identify, report, and contribute to the resolution of anomalies or alarms detected by the SCADA system;
- Adhere to safety standards and environmental procedures in place;
- Coordinate with field teams in the event of a malfunction or required intervention;
- Ensure the application of safety instructions and adherence to procedures in the field;
- Record and analyze data to contribute to continuous improvement of operations;
- Actively participate in achieving the project's health, safety, and environmental objectives;
- Report any incidents or abnormal situations, as well as events that could have serious consequences, to ensure corrective actions are taken to prevent recurrence.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of equipment and mineral processing procedures;
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with field teams;
- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues in coordination with teams;
- Proficiency in SCADA systems and industrial supervision tools;
- Ability to quickly solve problems in emergency or failure situations;
- Ability to work effectively in a team within a dynamic, high-pressure environment;
- Fluency in French is mandatory.
Training & Experience
- BTS or equivalent;
- Experience: 3 to 5 years in gold processing plants or in a similar role.
The position is based at our BOTO site in Senegal.
