What you'll be doing day to day:
- Lead and manage construction, refurbishment and facility management activities across IKEA properties, ensuring delivery aligned with Inter IKEA Systems standards
- Act as the IKEA retailer project leader for store construction and refurbishment projects, coordinating internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure safe, compliant and high-quality delivery
- Manage building lifecycle planning, maintenance operations, refurbishment programs, including MEP systems, fire safety and overall building infrastructure
- Oversee vendors, service providers and service contracts, ensuring performance, compliance and cost control
- Drive sustainability, energy efficiency and cost-conscious initiatives to support long-term asset performance and business growth
- Lead, coach and develop the facility management team to ensure strong performance and continuous improvement
We want you to be a person who:
- Has a background in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field with minimum 8 years of experience in construction and on-site project management, preferably within a retail or commercial environment with construction competency license
- Takes full ownership of end-to-end construction, refurbishment and facility management delivery, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with IKEA Concept, standards and regulations
- Has solid capability to review technical, shop and MEP drawings, manage permitting and coordination with authorities and ensure safety, quality and compliance
- Shows strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with experience leading multidisciplinary teams, vendors and contractors
- Is comfortable using AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project with a mindset toward sustainability and continuous improvement
