Job Description

CONSTRUCTION MANAGER - PROJECT BASED HIRE

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the construction team to execute the project plan, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Manage construction operations, ensuring effective coordination of activities, schedules, and resources.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager, engineering teams, and stakeholders to ensure construction activities align with project specifications and design.
  • Monitor and control construction costs, tracking project expenses against the budget and providing timely reports.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and standards, promoting a safety-first culture on the construction site.
  • Resolve any construction-related issues to keep the project on track.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services as per project requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety practices.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure construction meets the specified standards.
  • Prepare and present regular construction progress reports to the Project Manager and other relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related major
  • Minimum 20+ years of continuous construction experience in senior roles e.g.,Construction Lead, Construction Manager. Senior Construction Engineer (Experienced in Oil & Gas projects, including EPC and offshore)
  • Highly experience in Civil and Structural Works Management, with primary on Civil works, e.g. pilling, ground / site preparations
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to manage complex construction projects from start to finish while maintaining schedule and quality compliance.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, environmental policies, and construction standards.
  • Solid understanding of construction budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage construction teams and coordinate with stakeholders.
  • Effective communication and conflict-resolution skills, able to foster collaboration among diverse groups.
  • Ability to anticipate and resolve potential construction issues in a timely manner.
  • Strong decision-making skills, balancing considerations of time, cost, and quality in a construction environment.
  • Willing to be placed in Head Office, Fabrication or Site area
