Role Purpose
To drive profitable growth by providing high-quality financial insights, robust challenge, and strategic support to the Commercial leadership team. You will ensure that every rupiah spent on trade promotions, advertising, and product launches generates maximum value.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Decision Support: Act as a co-pilot to Sales and Marketing Directors. Evaluate business cases for new product development (NPD) and market expansion.
- Revenue Management: Analyze pricing strategies and Value-to-Volume trade-offs. You'll identify opportunities to improve Gross Margin through better pack-price architecture.
- Trade Spend Optimization: Review and challenge the effectiveness of promotional activities (ROI analysis). You ensure that buy-one-get-one isn't just moving volume, but actually making money.
- Budgeting & Rolling Forecasts: Lead the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process for the commercial side, ensuring sales targets are realistic and aligned with financial goals.
- Performance Monitoring: Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as Net Revenue, Market Share, and Contribution Margin, providing the story behind the numbers.
- Risk & Opportunity Management: Proactively identify financial risks (e.g., commodity price spikes) and opportunities (e.g., unexpected demand) to pivot the commercial strategy mid-quarter.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education : Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics. Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is highly preferred.
- Experience : 10+ years in finance, with at least 2 years in a business partnering or commercial role within FMCG/Retail.
- Technical : Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP) and advanced Excel. Experience with data viz tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
- Soft Skills : Influencing: The ability to say no to a Sales Manager while keeping a good relationship. Storytelling: Distilling complex data into actionable insights.
