Executive Recruitment Company Monroe Consulting Group is searching for a passionate and experienced Commercial Finance Manager to join a multinational FMCG company in Jakarta, Indonesia. You'll play a key role in driving financial performance and profitability across all commercial channels.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Commercial Planning & Insights
- Analyze business performance to identify opportunities and risks across pricing, promotions, and product mix.
- Develop annual commercial strategies with clear recommendations to improve profitability, category value, and customer growth.
- Ensure decisions reflect a balanced consideration of consumers, customers, competition, and company objectives.
2. Promotional Effectiveness & Trade Spend Optimization
- Design annual promotional frameworks, guidelines, and investment plans to optimize spend productivity.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure promotional mechanics, price points, and frequency align with brand and channel goals.
- Lead pre- and post-promotion evaluations to strengthen ROI and benchmark best practices.
- Maintain compliance and data accuracy for all trade-related analysis and reporting.
3. Pricing Management
- Build channel-specific pricing strategies that support brand positioning and business objectives.
- Coordinate execution of pricing adjustments and ensure alignment across Marketing, Sales, and Finance.
- Monitor market competitiveness, assess exceptions, and support governance on pricing decisions.
4. Product Mix & Portfolio Profitability
- Partner cross-functionally to set annual mix objectives based on financial performance, consumer behavior, and customer priorities.
- Identify opportunities to shift product mix towards higher-value segments while protecting key SKUs and revenue streams.
- Ensure incentive programs and net pricing structures support desired mix outcomes.
5. Customer Investment & Trade Terms Architecture
- Support the design and refinement of customer investment frameworks to maximize return on customer spending.
- Ensure trade terms align with strategic priorities and strengthen the company's position in category profit pools.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Capability Building
- Lead internal training sessions to uplift commercial, pricing, and promotional analytics capabilities within Sales and related teams.
- Work with S&OP/Finance teams to integrate commercial recommendations into planning cycles.
- Guide analysts (where applicable) in daily activities, ensuring quality insights and timely deliverables.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum 8 years experience in commercial finance, revenue management, or related roles within FMCG or consumer-focused industries.
- Strong knowledge of P&L drivers, pricing, promotion planning, and financial analysis.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and business partnering skills.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in converting data into actionable recommendations.
