Coffee Roaster

IKAT Cacao is dedicated to promoting direct trade and sustainable farming practices. Our organic cacao is wild-grown and harvested on the island of Flores, Indonesia, using centuries-old regenerative techniques that protect the ecosystem and avoid chemical pesticides. We focus on supporting local cacao farmers by providing wages well above global market standards to enrich their livelihoods. Additionally, we contribute 20% of our revenues from direct-to-consumer products to local communities and NGOs, fostering social empowerment and environmental preservation. This is a full-time, on-site role for a Coffee Roaster based in Mauponggo. The Coffee Roaster will be responsible for the roasting process, ensuring consistent quality in every batch, and performing quality control procedures. The role includes monitoring equipment, implementing specialty coffee techniques, and training team members to maintain high roasting standards. The candidate will collaborate with the team to maintain the company's commitment to ethical and sustainable practices.

• Proficiency in Coffee Roasting, with a focus on maintaining quality and consistency
• Experience in Quality Control processes and techniques
• Knowledge of Specialty Coffee standards and roasting techniques
• Strong Communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with teams
• Experience in Training team members on coffee roasting procedures
• Attention to detail and a passion for sustainability in the food supply chain
• Familiarity with safety standards and procedures in a production environment
