Role Description This is a Freelance hybrid Chemistry Teacher role based in Depok, with a combination of on-site teaching and some work-from-home responsibilities. The Chemistry Teacher will design and deliver engaging lessons that align with the curriculum, incorporating practical demonstrations, experiments, and real-world applications. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and teaching materials, assessing student progress through assignments, quizzes, and exams, and providing constructive feedback to support academic growth. The role also involves maintaining accurate student records, communicating regularly with learners and guardians about performance, and collaborating with colleagues to improve teaching practices and learning outcomes. The teacher is expected to participate in school events, meetings, and professional development activities to continually enhance instructional quality.
Qualifications
- Strong lesson planning skills, including the ability to design structured, engaging, and curriculum-aligned learning experiences.
- Solid background in Chemistry Education, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and connect theory to practice.
- Knowledge of Physics sufficient to integrate interdisciplinary examples and support related science topics when needed.
- Effective communication and teaching skills, with the ability to facilitate inclusive, student-centered learning environments.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Science Education, or a closely related field; teaching certification or licensure is an advantage.
- Prior experience teaching chemistry at the secondary or equivalent level is preferred, including experience managing lab activities safely.
- Familiarity with educational technology, learning management systems, and digital tools to support hybrid instruction.
