Role Overview
In this role, you will contribute to fine-tuning large language models using your strong analytical and English comprehension skills. The ideal candidate has a deep foundation in Chemistry, comparable to postgraduate or PhD-level study, and can clearly break down complex chemical concepts into structured, easy-to-understand explanations.
This opportunity also provides exposure to AI systems and evaluation workflows, helping you build future-ready expertise in an AI-driven environment.
What You'll Do
- Solve advanced chemistry problems across postgraduate-level topics
- Develop clear, step-by-step explanations with structured reasoning
- Work with chemistry content that includes equations, reaction mechanisms, diagrams, and annotated structures
- Analyze complex organic reaction mechanisms and explain them with textual and visual clarity
- Solve equilibrium, thermodynamics, stoichiometry, electrochemistry, and physical chemistry problems with supporting diagrams and energy representations
- Review and refine chemistry-related outputs generated by AI systems
- Collaborate with AI researchers to identify areas where models struggle and improve evaluation benchmarks
Requirements
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Ability to provide structured feedback and detailed annotations
- Creative problem-solving and lateral thinking abilities
- Excellent written communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Reliable desktop/laptop setup with stable internet connection
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's, PhD, or Postdoctoral studies in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related field
- Strong background in organic, physical, inorganic, and analytical chemistry
- Ability to explain complex chemistry concepts using clear language, diagrams, and structured reasoning
- Experience teaching, mentoring, or creating academic-level solutions is a plus
