Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

Working with the Regional Manager, this person will maintain existing accounts and will have high focus on prospecting.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the KEY contact person for all system and tooling related projects in existing customers and prospects.
  • Expand network and customer base by prospecting, new contact in existing customer (especially decision maker), OEM partners, Resin Manufacturer and Competition.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers at all levels and departments, thorough understanding of customers requirements, business and competition.
  • Develop a deep knowledge of Rigid packaging, PET preform, bev/specialty closures, beverage manufacturing processes, packaging and Husky equipment technology.
  • Become project leader and integrate diverse resources in Husky for a successful project management from start to acceptance and collaborate with CSM for after sales.
  • Create value for the customer by implementing Husky advantages to show the lowest return in investment and production cost for opportunity creation.
  • Quote commercial proposal for all new system projects, tooling refurbishment and upgrades.
  • Negotiate with customer/prospect on Husky business proposal and responsible for escalation on commercial.
  • Maintain report update for knowledge of market trend, industry changes, acquisitions, and personnel.
  • Coordinate and schedule routine meetings with customers by presenting product updates, exploring customer needs and high level management business update.
  • Participate/follow up on service projects.
  • Host customer personnel at the Husky factories for system buy-offs and product development updates.
  • Represent Husky on customer events, seminars, exhibitions and promotional occasion.
  • Evaluate customers equipment performance. Continually audit customers systems for safety, cycle time and overall performance, benchmarking the systems against their original design specifications and todays best technology.
  • Arrange, present and/or assist in the presentation materials to the customer.
  • Submit performance reports/customer update/ prospect list on a regular basis.
  • Report on lost/win orders and explanation for competitive purchases.
  • Strategize on customer growth, forecasting and day to day business reporting.
  • Managing complaints/feedback from customers and channel the input to the right party responsible internally.
  • Responsible for project Account Receivable and support collection for customer outstanding.
  • Involve and support for machine down situation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in mechanical engineering, plastic technology, business or related field.
  • 3-5 years of proven sales experience in B2B, plastic injection molding industry specifically with PET is preferred.

Required Skills:

  • Strong sales acumen, attitude and confidence.
  • Preferably to have understanding of injection molding and beverage applications.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to deliver technical information to both technical and non-technical attendees.
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills.
  • Solutioning and analytical skills.
  • Strong Project management skills.
  • Team oriented with ability to work well with less supervision.
  • Ability to travel to all customer plants and prospects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Good English command verbal and written.
  • Project a professional and trustable consultant image.
  • A strong relationship builder.
