We are representing a well-established company in the chemical distribution industry that is seeking a Business Development Manager with strong market connections and a proven ability to bring in new accounts and projects. This role is critical in driving revenue growth and expanding the companys customer base across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively identify, approach, and secure new customers and accounts using existing industry networks and market knowledge.
- Leverage strong professional relationships with manufacturers, principals, and end users to generate new business opportunities.
- Drive end-to-end business development activities, from prospecting and client meetings to proposal preparation and deal closure.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts to ensure repeat business and sustainable revenue.
- Collaborate with internal teams (technical, supply chain, sales operations, and finance) to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor market trends, competitor movements, and customer needs to identify new growth opportunities.
- Prepare regular sales pipeline updates, revenue forecasts, and management reports.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 58 years of experience in business development or sales within the chemical distribution or chemical industry.
- Strong existing network and market connections with industrial customers and/or chemical principals.
- Demonstrated ability to bring in new accounts, projects, and revenue.
- Solid understanding of chemical products, distribution channels, and commercial negotiations.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Results-driven, commercially minded, and comfortable working with targets.
- Willing to travel for client and business development activities.
