Job Description

Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia, an executive recruitment company, is recruiting on behalf of a leading multinational company in the power & energy sector (EPC). As part of their business expansion in Indonesia, our client is seeking a highly driven and experienced Business Development / Sales Manager to support project acquisition and commercial activities across large-scale power plant projects. The position will be based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive business development and project acquisition across the power and energy sector, including government project, IPPs, and industrial clients, with a focus on conventional power (coal and gas)
  • Identify and develop project pipeline by monitoring government programs, tenders, and upcoming power plant opportunities
  • Manage end-to-end EPC commercial processes, including client engagement, tender participation, and contract negotiation
  • Develop pricing strategies, financial models, and commercial proposals to support competitive bidding and project execution
  • Conduct risk assessment and manage contractual aspects, including guarantees, terms, and conditions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders such
  • Act as a key liaison between technical (engineering) and commercial teams to ensure alignment on project requirements and execution
  • Manage both new business acquisition (hunter) and existing accounts (farmer) to drive sustainable revenue growth

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related disciplines)
  • Minimum 6–7 years of experience in the power, energy, or oil & gas industry
  • Strong exposure to conventional power projects (coal, gas, power plant)
  • Proven experience in handling EPC projects and end-to-end tender/bidding processes
  • Solid understanding of pricing strategy, financial modeling, and commercial negotiation
  • Strong technical foundation with the ability to engage in technical and commercial discussions with clients
  • Well-established network with stakeholders in the energy sector
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive, target-driven, and able to work independently in a dynamic, project-based environment
  • Willing to travel as required
